What if a stranger met you on the road and told you about something only you would know, would you think its God?

Someone met her again. This time, it was a nobody; Someone who seemed to have nothing to offer; a common shoe seller under the sweltering heat of the Douala market. He had probably had many customers that day or none, I would never tell but that day was different. He stopped for this petite lady who stood before him ready to buy. He looked at her, smelled a fragrance, he felt something oblivious to the normal man. Then he began to speak;

Like Jesus at the well to the Samaritan woman, he told her things that only she could confirm were true.

I’m writing about someone I know. Someone who exudes a certain fragrance that when anyone one meets them, they begin to prophesy. You see, this was a shoe seller at the Douala market. He had never met this person and he said so many true things. If it had been a prophet or one of this famous televangelist, they would have said it’s normal, those prophets hear God. What he smelled was the fragrance of purpose.

A stranger under the scorching heat of Douala began to smell something unique in his customer and he couldn’t help but speak.

For a moment, a stranger became a prophet because he had to call out the gold in a perfect stranger.

These encounters have begun to come frequently for this person and it’s becoming even clearer.

That there comes a season in one’s life that people begin to sense a thing that even you cannot sense. Sometimes these moments will come when you have lost all hope in yourself and you’re wondering what you are doing on earth.

It’s like someone has been sent to remind you of what you once used to be. Just when you were about to give up and someone comes to remind you not to give up. I have had those moments when people I barely know start to see something good in me.

Honour

Honour elevates

Honour will elevate you to the position that you are originally meant to occupy. When someone looks at you in your open toe shoe — worn out dog mouth shoe and tells you, you are such an amazing person- they are honouring you. they are seeing beyond the physical to call out the gold you.

There is a time when God begins to reveal what you were called to do on this earth. Since what you were called to do doesn’t end with you, God must involve other people. And since at times, the pains and hurt of life cloud our eyes like a dark cloth, a different person’s perspective usually opens the eyes.

This perspective comes in different ways- a sudden aura or fragrance that begins to permeate the very air surrounding you. As a result, something on you begins to rub off on the ones you need. People begin to come and ask to partner with you. People begin to buy your vision and sell it to others. People begin to say they don’t know but there is just something attractive about you.

The fragrance of purpose.

They show up like midnight foreigners offering to be of service to you. Does this sound surreal? it happens. Do you believe men can lay down everything for someone who has discovered what he is called on earth to do? Yes, men have done that in history and if you ask them why, they may not have the diction to explain. So yes, when you begin to walk in purpose, you have that fragrance.

It’s the fragrance of purpose

The fragrance of heaven.

Have you ever met these people who have a certain attractive quality that you cannot explain? Sometimes you just go “I don’t know but I just like him” or “there is just something nice about her”

A purpose family

Every calling has its crowd or I call, a purpose family. Those people who will just buy your vision and will support you all the way. You feel at home around them like you have known them all your lives. Sometimes you end up with similar fragrance. If you’ve not yet found them, you will do.

The fragrance of purpose is the rub off from hours in the secret place; where the father has revealed his nature to you; where you have so beheld that you are becoming. Note, you may not be there yet, but you are becoming. Some children are born looking like their fathers but it takes growth, perseverance and time to look like their father spiritually.

The journey of purpose is the becoming..

Many times, I have wondered what people see in me and then I realized, they are not seeing me. They are seeing the one that I am a reflection of. I am the sweet smelling aroma of my heavenly father. I look like God.

You can only exude what you cultivate in the secret.

If it means retreating so that you can find yourself, do just that.

A wise person Yvan Amatagana said Intimacy is not built in public

Take note, most great people in life had a time when they went silent for a while and when they emerged, something was different about them.

Do you feel that you are exuding the fragrance of purpose already?

Do you feel it’s time to enter into the secret place?
